LOGIS-TECH (LTi) incorporates a Battery Preservation System (BPS™) as a component of its Medium and Long Term Storage Programs. The purpose of the systems is to provide the customer with a cost-effective method of maintaining batteries during mid and long term storage. Batteries that are included in these systems will be maintained in a fully charged state or a ready to be charged state depending on the customers needs. All systems are capable at outdoor applications (solar power) or indoor applications (120VAC/1PH/60Cycle).
For the customer who desires to maintain batteries in a ready "to be charged" condition during mid and long term storage, LTi provides two types of Battery Conditioning Systems. The conditioning system employs pulse technology that ensures that the battery is maintained in a ready "to be charged" state.
For the customer who desires to maintain batteries in a charged condition during mid and long term storage LTi provides two types of Battery Charging Systems. The charging system employs pulse technology that ensures that the battery is maintained in a charged state, fully capable to be started as needed.
For the customer who desires to improve the performance of battery banks. LTi offers a series of products designed to improve connectivity and eliminate the corrosive effect of battery acid on the other components of a vehicle system.
The LTi Battery Conditioning System is developed around the Pulse Conditioning System. The Pulse Conditioning System is a Direct Current powered battery conditioner whose purpose is to reverse and prevent sulfation in the battery. The Conditioning System accomplishes this by "pulsing" the battery several thousand times a second with a high voltage, low amperage pulse that liquefies the sulfate and returns it to the battery electrolyte solution. The Conditioning System greatly extends the life of lead-acid batteries by maintaining the battery plates in an ideal condition to receive a charge.
The LTi Conditioning System is sold either separately or as part of a Battery Preservation System (BPS) Kit. The kit is tailored to meet specific military requirements. BPSTM Kits have been designed and packaged for vehicle-unique applications, to include the M-1 FOV, Bradley IFV, M109, M113, the LAV and AAV. Kits include all components of the Battery Maintenance System, including mounting brackets for the solar panels, hardware, and instruction manual.
The LTi Battery Charging System is developed around the Pulse Charging System. The Pulse Conditioning System has three components: a sensor that determines the condition of the battery, a Pulse charging system that can charge up to six batteries and a battery system status light indicator. The sensor monitors the battery condition and activates the charger as needed. The charger provides pulse charges until the battery is fully charged. The battery System status light indicates to the customer the condition of the battery: fully charged; charging; or not capable of holding a charge. The Battery Charger is a high voltage, low amperage Direct Current charger whose purpose is to bring the battery to full charge.
