| Management Automated Reporting System (MARS™) |
MARS™ is the Logis-Tech, inc. (LTi) Internet based automated monitoring
and analysis system that assists in the management and reporting of customers ESS'®'
(Environment Stabilization System) system performance indicators.
MARS™ is a highly automated version of Logis-Tech’s control and monitoring software.
It permits the warehousing and management of data connected with system performance
of Logis-Tech’s Long Term Preservation and Operational Preservation sites worldwide.
LTi maintains a multi-server infrastructure and suite of software programs that work
together to centralize and automate the data retrieval, analysis, reporting and storage
processes. These are designated by our company as Guardian™ and MARS™. The Data
Collection, Data Reduction and Reporting, and the Alert Notification and Information
Dissemination portions of MARS™ are designed to be completely automated and free of
operator intervention.
MARS™ provides our customers a daily report on how their systems are performing throughout
the month. It displays a running performance graph with color performance level indicators.
Ambient and controlled conditions are visually displayed for various environmental conditions,
predominantly relative humidity.
The system also provides explanations for systems that are performing out of parameters.
The system relies on the data acquisition systems installed at each ESS system and site.
These data acquisition and control systems provide decentralized operation and centralized
reporting.
The Process:
1) At each site, a data acquisition and control systems, such as our SCS™, operates the
system within established parameters and also at specified intervals collects and stores
the values of all installed sensors in non-volatile logs.
2) At pre-programmed times, usually three to four times a day, the central MARS™ system
contacts the site and collects the stored data.
3) The MARS™ system then processes this information.
4) Alerts are raised as required and the LTi Service Staff is notified of any systems
that are having issues.
5) The system then makes this data available, via the Internet, to service personnel
and authorized customers.
Below is a small sampling of the information that is available through any Internet
connection via logis-tech.net secure login.
• Current Values at Time of Last Call
• Trending Charts Hourly and Monthly
• Normal Operation Reports
• Out-Of-Tolerance Reports
• Weekly, Monthly or Quarterly Overall Performance Reports
The report and alert distribution system has been automated to use e-mail extensively and in some cases numeric pager systems. Most E-Mail based reports are available on demand through the website.
The LTi’s MARS™ software offers the ability to troubleshoot remote systems from our Manassas, VA headquarters and from any other location by full time field technicians.
Our team of technicians utilizes MARS™ to remotely monitor and assess a site’s health. Via the Internet and direct remote access, fault conditions may be identified, saving time and costly travel. The system provides automatic daily reports on system status and allows independent monitoring by a technician at any time as a supplement to regional oversight capability.
The MARS™ archive stores and reports on all of a site’s data. Site hourly data is available for customer review for up to 45 days. After which the data is archived to offline permanent storage. Averages, alerts and issues are available at anytime and remain online as long as a customer subscribes to the service.
MARS™ is fully compatible with Logis-Tech’s Guardian data acquisition and control system.
