LOGIS-TECH's (LTi) Environmental Data Acquisition, Monitoring and Controls Systems are comprised of a suite of sensors, process controllers, network access interfaces, Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) and software packages. Our systems provide flexibility and customization to meet the customer’s requirement for full-time unattended automated safe control of their ADU/HVAC system(s). The typical package provides real-time automatic control and condition monitoring, automated data collection and processing.
The LTi control paradigm includes the requirements to support Unattended Automated Control, Operations Verification, HMI, and Automated Reporting Services.
Unattended Automated Control Components are selected and integrated to provide for fully automated, unattended control of the Environmental Processing Equipment. Available options allow for safe and efficient operation using remote sensing devices to detect not only temperature and relative humidity conditions but other potentially critical data inputs such as door position and the presence of any carbon based combustible atmospheric gases.
At the heart of LTi's control system lies the Simplified Control System (SCS™). Individual components may be added or subtracted to the SCS™ to create and support the proper system functions required to accommodate various operational requirements, including environment stabilization of temperature and humidity, toxic/combustible fume regulation, security monitoring, fire protection and light level conditions.
Components are selected, tested and integrated into the system to stress reliability and ease of operation and maintenance.
Individual Components of an SCS will vary, but will include some if not all of the following:
LTi has a number of communication options that allow for remote access into the system(s) for data review and system configuration. Options exist for:
Remote communications coupled with one of our service contracts provides a powerful package to assure continued operation at the ESS® system or your operational equipment.
The collection of the data points used in the calculation for control and operation of the system are logged to provide verification of system operation and compliance. Data points are stored in non-volatile memory for future offloading and evaluation. Log functions can be tailored to provide highly detailed views of operation or show long-term operation conditions of the system or equipment.
All SCS deployments can be monitored locally with network interfaces and properly outfitted computers. Most SCS systems are also built to leverage available communications assets for remote monitoring. Options are available for Wire-line Telephone or POTS (Plain Old Telephone Service), Wireless Cellular (Analog and Digital). Fixed and Wireless Internet connections are available depending on the customer need and the availability and access to these technologies.
HMI interfaces allow the interaction with and configuration of the SCS. Historical data records may be reviewed, controller operation set points may be modified, real-time sensor conditions may be displayed. HMI’s may be simple equipment mounted digital displays or alarm annunciators, locally running laptops with our proprietary Guardian™ software, other LTi utilities or full featured remote internet and World Wide Web Based tools.
LTi’s commitment to increase efficiencies, reduce costs, provide quality products and services, has led to the development of the Management Automated Reporting System(MARS™). MARS™ is the primary tool used in the data collection and reporting of SCS™ and other control networks deployed world-wide. The technology is used to warehouse data, automate and manage system performance evaluation and reporting. The system performs automated scheduled daily checks of every active site by retrieving operational data files that have been stored since the last contact. These data sets are evaluated to ensure that the system is within proper operational parameters. If parameters are not within acceptable range or certain other error conditions exist, such as if no communication is possible, alerts are raised and forwarded to LTi’s Service Network. All data points and alerts are then stored in a massive database for later use and more in-depth review. The stored data points are also used for the automated preparation of all required weekly, monthly or quarterly performance reports.
MARS is fully web-enabled allowing LTi employees and its customer’s on-line access to their site's performance data from any public internet connection. These information points and more are available on demand at logis-tech.net via secure customer specific login.
